Awwwwww I can't believe it's over. It's the last time I got to go to state and it was even more fun than ever!

This year, my orchestra played the Stokowski's arrangement of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and the Hanson's Romantic Symphony No. 2. The former was REALLY REALLY fun. It's not often you get to play a song where passion (not slow emotion) reigns everything. However, there were so many 16th note passages and playing it just made me so tired, but there's a certain level of satisfaction that you get when you play so hard that you get tired XD Hanson was overall fun too, but I didn't really like all the portato (I think that's what it's called at least O_O) throughout the whole song because I always felt like I was playing too loud. Still, we got to learn from Jung-Ho Pak, one of the world's BEST conductors. I'm so grateful and hopefully my playing has matured from not only the environment and the conductor but also from learning to have some fun in between ^^;;;

Other than that, I got to hang out with a lot more people and we played games like Mao, Idiot, and BS. It was actually pretty hilarious lol. I hope I get another opportunity like this in college, even though as far as I know there's no such thing in college. (Oh and random but Hare Ame Nochi Suki was THE song for the trip lol. Over 4 days, I only listened to that song and that song only once XD)

In other news, I got my SAT II scores back. I got a 770 on Mathematics Level 2 (YAYAY) and a 680 on Chemistry. Although the Chemistry is on the low end for the schools I want to get into, I personally think it's pretty good seeing as how I hadn't taken chemistry for a little over half a year at that point.

Now to start my make-up work!
